Fantastic Track Day at Blyton Park with the Zero’s…

Last Sunday (23rd June) we were at Blyton Park for the second GBS Track Day of the year, we were joined with several other Zero owners some of which was their first Track Day in their Zero. We took our Zero Race car and Auriga prototype sports car.

We were also joined by several customers who were spectating and also enjoyed passenger rides in our Zero Race and demonstrator with one of the GBS Team. The Track day got booked up very quickly and a lot of people missed out on booking a place, we will be announcing the next GBS Track Day very soon so hopefully you will be able to join us. More details about this can be found on our event page soon.

Last week Paul Barnes our USA representative spent a few days with us and also joined us at Blyton Park in the morning, Paul will be back with us in a few weeks where we will be finalising the USA Zero website pages that we look forward to sharing with you all.

All the GBS team love the track days that we do, and all take it turns to drive and offer passenger rides. But on Sunday it was our Apprentice Thomas Slaney’s very first track day, he often attends the track days with us but this was the first time behind the wheel driving a Zero out on the track! After a few steady laps to begin with, Thomas soon got up to speed and was out all afternoon with the team giving him tips and advice. Thomas’s Father David who has a factory built Zero was also out on track and Thomas was driving that as well as our Zero Race and the Auriga prototype.

The weather was perfect and could not have been better with blue skies all day, the GBS Camera’s were there capturing the action throughout the day, you can see a few photos below and more photos from the day can now be seen on our GBS Facebook page.

We would like to thank you to you all for joining us, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Blyton Park is one of our favourite tracks and is great one to do for your first track day. We hope you will be able to join us on our next GBS Track Day once its announced.

Amazing views in the South of France with the Zero….

We recently received these stunning photographs from a GBS customer in France of him out in his Zero with his son enjoying the south of France.

GBS Zero owner Anton said “We had to go into the private domain above Villefranche to get this "golden" spot with a view just by the road.”

The Zero is the ideal sports car for touring Europe and enjoying on road trips across the UK. Also recently GBS Customers Bill Bridger and Graham Cousins enjoyed a big road trip in their newly registered Zero around Europe covering lots of miles and many different countries. We will share more on their trip and more stunning photos with you very soon.

If you have any road trips planned this Summer in your Zero, then let us know or send us some photographs. We would love to see them, please visit our contact page for more details on how to contact us.

Busy workshop…. Is your Zero all set up and ready for the summer?

As many of you know we offer a full range of workshop services for your GBS Zero Sports cars and also other sports cars. We offer a wide range of services from upgrades to Mot’s. The new ATR Products brake upgrade has proven very popular as has the ATR Products Suspension upgrade. Our IVA Service is another popular service and we always have several sports cars in the workshop that are here for the IVA Service that we offer. We are able to prepare and present your car to IVA along with registration as well, this week we are presenting  two Zero’s to test with one of them passing this morning.

We have recently seen an increase in customers having Geometry and corner weight set up done on their sports cars, which can make a big difference to both the performance and handling of your sports car.

We currently have a nice Zero in our workshop with us for the IVA Service and is booked to go to test soon. But last week we took it to be Rolling Road tested, if you visit our GBS Instagram you can see a link to a short video clip taken at 3,500 rpm solid state mapping on an Emerald ECU with a new 2.0Zetec on ATR Products Throttle Bodies. It produced 174 bhp with more to come!

The GBS Cars & Coffee events that we hold at the GBS Factory were created in 2016 and have since been a massive success & we have decided to continue to hold the events again and again throughout the year. On Saturday saw the second Cars & Coffee event of 2019 and we would like to say a big THANK YOU to you all for joining us, it was a shame about the rain but still a great turnout.

As usual the great selection of cakes attracted a lot of attention and certainly went down well along with the unlimited supply of tea and coffee. The other thing about our GBS Cars & Coffee event that we love, is that we are able to raise money for our 2 chosen charities which are the Cancer Research UK and The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, we all feel and hope you agree that The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a fantastic service and has helped & will continue to help many people, as well as the Cancer Research UK that is again a fantastic charity that makes a big difference to so many people and their families. We thank you all for your generous donations, so far from our GBS Events we are delighted to have raised £1,935.39.

If you were not able to join us on Saturday then don’t worry. We will be announcing the next GBS Cars & Coffee date very soon so make sure you get that date in your calendar once its announced.
