Every Zero you see is different and there are many options and upgrades to consider on both Zero self builds and factory builds. We have a big selection of upgrades and options that are available for the Zero’s and also suitable for other sport cars, a lot of which are designed and manufactured in house by the GBS Team. Our ATR Throttle Bodies, Brake Upgrade, Suspension are just some of the most popular upgrades that we design, manufacture and assemble. We are also able to offer anodising in other colours to suit your request.

The ATR Products range have been used on the NEW Zero Motul Edition which was recently revealed. The components had lots of special Motul details added to the components.

Testing at Blyton Park with a customers Zero and other performance car....

We always have a workshop full of Zeros and often have other interesting cars with us that we are doing work on and bespoke fabrication. One GBS Customer has a Zero and also owns this Repco Brabham sports car which some of you may have seen in the workshop when you visited last year. It was with us for engine, electrical and custom works and earlier this year it was back with us for the geometry set up and to prepare it for its test and set up day at the track.

Where last month we booked a test day at Blyton Park for the Brabham to be be put through it paces on the track to see how it performed, some of the GBS Workshop team also attended to make sure the set up was correct and to make any required adjustments to the setup. It was a successful and enjoyable day and the car performed well with only a few minor tweaks required. Denis also enjoyed several laps of the track in his Zero too, and can’t wait to join us on our next GBS Track Day. The Brabham is now all set up and ready for its Hill Climb event which is happening later next month, we look forward to hearing how it gets on.

Filming at GBS with Cadspec & MTDCNC.... CAM innovation is driven by Cadspec.

Last year we welcomed Cadspec and MTDCNC to GBS for a days filming…… We are now delighted to share with you the video that was created which you can see on the MTDCNC YouTube Chanel.

To enhance our manufacturing capabilities here at GBS, we recently invested in Autodesk software platforms via Cadspec. We wanted to design, manufacture as much as we can in-house and this gives us a lot more flexibility on the design, options and performance, which we can then pass on to the customer.

Different Cars, but same engine set up..... What engine would you have in your Zero?

Different cars but same engine set up….. We have had this Mk2 Escort with us in the workshop for a while and it has attracted a lot attention whilst its been with us, and many of you that have visited us will have seen it in the corner of the workshop. We have been doing a lot of design and development work with it, to meet the IVA requirements and we recently presented it to IVA and its now registered and ready for the road.

The all new Mk2 Escort is powered by a brand new Ford supplied 2.5L Duratec on our popular ATR Billet Throttle Bodies & Life ECU, which is the same set up as our Zero Demonstrator which offers great handling and performance. The Zero takes a full range of engine options and we are able to make bespoke changes to suit your engine choices.

We are excited to have been featured in the 200th Swarf & Chip Show which was seen live on their YouTube last month on 23rd October. In this very special 200th Swarf & Chips show the MTDCNC and Swarf & Chip team visited us at GBS to find out how our beautiful cars are manufactured from fabrication, CNC machining and all the way to the final assembly. We then took the Zero’s to Blyton Park race track for a Swarf and Chips fastest lap competition! New Zero collected & more waiting to return from paint.....

Another stunning Zero left the factory today, we were delighted to welcome GBS Customer Nicola Neal back to GBS this morning on her 50th Birthday to collect her brand new factory finished Zero GT. Many of you that have recently visited the GBS Factory may have seen this stunning orange Zero being built, its powered by a 2L Zetec and has a lot of our ATR Products upgrades fitted including the Suspension, front brakes, Throttle Bodies and much more.

We look forward to receiving photographs from Nicola enjoying her new car, and joining us at our next GBS Cars & Coffee event and other events that we are planning.

NEW GBS Workshop YouTube Channel & new products for the Zero's....

We have a main GBS YouTube channel which I am sure many of you have subscribed to and have watched our recent GBS Factory Tour video that we shared on there. We are now pleased to have a new dedicated YouTube Channel for the GBS Workshop, on here you will see a selection of videos sharing what the workshop team are up to, as well as videos of new product installations and upgrades on the Zero’s and other sports cars.

Including the below which we are pleased to have released and shared with you, these are just some of the new products that we have been busy developing for the Zero range and other sports cars.

Seat Belt Bolt Finishing Kit - These replace the standard hex head bolt which you have to cover up with a nut cover for the IVA Test. The new finishing kit uses a counter sunk 7/16 UNF bolt that has an aluminium cup with a radius that both comply’s with the IVA and also enhances the appearance of your car.
These are available in Black, Silver and Orange and now available online from Kit Spares.

Heated Seats - Heated Seat Elimiment optional extra now available on our GBS Seats. Visit our new GBS Workshop YouTube Channel to see a short video running through the installation, these new seats are now available and can be seen on our parts website Kit Spares.

We have also created a new Alternator Bracket for the Duratec 2.5 which is now being installed in all factory builds and is a very nice touch to the engine bay. GBS Zero Race Car being enjoyed & GBS Workshop is busy…..

It nice to have this Zero back in our workshop for a  few days, its now currently having the ATR Products Brake upgrade kit fitted. The owner Peter Cartwright competes with his 2.5 Duratec powered Zero in Sprints and does several Track Days a year! GBS Customer Jon Barratt recently sent us some photos from when he raced at Silverstone International a couple of weeks ago in the Mag Sevens series. He said “Unfortunately, didn't finish the first 40 minute race due to a snapped throttle cable but did well in the second 15 minute sprint gaining six places from the start taking me to 2nd in class”. Jon is also hoping to join us next month on our GBS Track Day at Blyton Park on Sunday 23rd June, click here for more details.

Another GBS customer also collected his sports car from us this week which wasn’t a Zero, Chris Morrison collected his Liege Sports trials car that we completed and prepared and presented to IVA. Chris is now awaiting the registration and hopes to join us in at our GBS Cars & Coffee event which is happening on Saturday 8th June.
