This year has been filled with exciting milestones, memorable events, and powerful moments that celebrate the spirit of the GBS community. GBS Track Days & Zero Race Car Debut
From circuit to circuit, our new Zero race car has been leaving an impression with stellar performance. The feedback has been fantastic, with each track day offering drivers an exhilarating experience behind the wheel. Seeing everyone enjoy these track days makes them a huge highlight.

Cars & Coffee & Friday Night at the Factory
With each event, the support and turnout have been incredible! Our gatherings have brought together like-minded enthusiasts, and we’re already busy planning next year’s events. Together, we’ve also made a meaningful impact by raising funds for our chosen charities, The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and Cancer Research UK. Join us on Saturday 7th December for our GBS Christmas Cars & Coffee event.

Factory Tours Take Off
This year marked the debut of our GBS Factory Tours, offering a closer look at the craftsmanship behind each GBS Zero. The feedback has been so enthusiastic that we've already scheduled the first 2025 tour date for February. Be sure to reserve your spot, see more details on our event page!

Stig at Santa Pod
A memorable day saw Stig himself take the Zero for a spin at Santa Pod Raceway, where he pushed it to its limits and was thrilled by its performance.

New UK Dealer: Central GB in Nottingham
We were delighted to welcome Central GB as our first official UK dealer, with a factory-built Zero proudly on display in their stunning new showroom. It’s fantastic to expand the GBS family, bringing more people closer to the Zero experience.

Media Spotlight with EVO Magazine
In September, we had the pleasure of hosting EVO Magazine for a feature in issue 235. The team took a deep dive into the Zero, bringing it to a wider audience and sharing what makes it special. Read more here.

Join Us for the GBS Drive Out... All cars are welcome to join.

Join us for our next GBS Drive Out on Saturday, 14th September, and this time, we’re opening it up to all cars—not just Zeros! We’ll gather at GBS Cars for a scenic drive through stunning country roads, covering around 50-60 miles.

The route will lead us to a picturesque spot about 30 miles from GBS, where we’ll capture some fantastic photos and videos. After that, you’re free to head home or stick around for some food and drinks with the group.

This is an open event, so all cars are welcome! If you’d like to join, please confirm your attendance so we can plan accordingly and share the final details, including the route, closer to the date.

GBS are now offering the Sadev Gearbox options..... with technical back-up from SWR Motorsport.

We are pleased to announce that we will now be offering a Sadev 6 speed sequential gearbox options for the Zero and through our parts shop Kit Spares for other cars. After a recent visit from SWR Motorsport we are pleased to be working with them as they are the UK Sadev agent to offer a full range of products for the Zero.

The Sadev 6 speed sequential gearbox is perfect in size for the Zero offering ultra power and performance. Sadev are renowned around the world for making the finest transmission, we have chosen to work with them for this reason to be able to offer our customer the very best transmission to further enhance the Zero making it the ultimate sports car.

Friday Night At The Factory is back for 2024..... Join us Friday 10th May at GBS.

Friday Night at the Factory is back and happening in May / June / July / August at Great British Sports Cars.
Happening again this year is our Friday Night at the Factory event -This event we are planning to happen one Friday a month from May to August. Similar style to our GBS Cars & Coffee events this is a great opportunity for you all to have a summer evening ride out in your sports cars / bikes and a meeting point to enjoy an evening of cars, bikes, car chat, music, food and drinks with the GBS Team. The GBS Car Park will be open from 5pm till late.  

Hot Food (Pizza) and Drinks will be available for you all to enjoy on the night. The first date for the GBS Friday Night at the Factory is happening on Friday 10th May and then we plan them to take place in June, July and August. The other dates will be confirmed and announced very soon.

All cars and bikes are welcome and everyone is welcome to join us for a great evening. Please drive responsibly in the local area.

The Kit Spares Shop will not be open on this ‘Friday Night at the Factory’ but please call before and pre order your parts ready to collect on the evening. www.kitspares.co.uk

Work Experience at GBS..... We welcome Students when we can.

We get a lot of requests for Work Experience here at GBS throughout the year, we do our best to offer work experience opportunities when possible weather it be for a week or just a day. As we manufacture and design a lot of components in house, students are able to see and gain full experience of how the Zero and components are designed and manufactured from start to finish and get to see what’s involved to produce a sports car.

Last week we welcomed 18 year old Reece to GBS for two days work experience, Reece is studying Level 3 engineering and A’ Levels in Maths and Physics at Doncaster UTC - (University Technical College) in Doncaster. Reece has a strong passion for cars and motorsport and enjoyed his time with us last week and will possibly being coming back to join us very soon.

We are a very popular choice with Schools and Colleges throughout the country for work experience placements and student placements. Places are limited and are allocated on first come, first served basis, to apply and for all enquires please visit our career page.

Tri Tech will be with us on our stand at the Autosport Show......

We are very much looking forward to being at this year’s Autosport’s Show happening next week. With our ongoing partnership we are delighted that Tri-Tech 3D will be joining us on our stand again this year.
On display, along with the Zeros including our new Zero Race car that is now ready for the track will be one of the latest UltiMaker 3D printers. An affordable starting point for anyone looking to get into 3D printing, the UltiMaker S7 is built for a wide variety of applications (including End use parts, Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures) many of which are ideal for the Automotive industry.
Not only will you will be able to see this 3D Printer on our stand, there will also be a selection of 3D printed models from market leaders Stratasys. Boasting five different 3D print technologies and an even wider gamut of materials, we have sample parts from previous use case projects that are sure to make you stop and look, and some that can be seen on our Zero Race Car.

Last Friday (25th September) was a our final Friday Night at the Factory.... Until next year.

We would like to say thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday and at all the other Friday Night at the factory events this year. It’s always great to have the GBS car park full of sports cars, Tractors and motor bikes. We now look forward to hosting more Friday Night at the Factory events next year. We have lots of exciting plans for next years GBS events and we look forward to sharing details with you all later in the year.

Following the recent announcement of the State Funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19th September, as a mark of respect, we have taken the decision to close GBS & Kit Spares on this day. We will reopen as normal on Tuesday 20th September.

A truly remarkable woman. Thank you for your extraordinary service.​ Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and we send our deepest condolences to them at this sad time.

Work Experience at GBS...... Student enjoys a few days working alongside the GBS Team

Last week we welcomed 17 year old Ethan Skinner to GBS for three days work experience with us, Ethan is a Year 12 Student studying A Levels at William Farr Comprehensive School in Lincolnshire. With a  passion for all things motorsport Ethan approached us for any work experience opportunities, where we were able to offer him 3 days here at GBS. During the 3 days he spent time with the GBS Team in different departments to gain an understanding of what we do and to have an insight into as many aspects of motorsport as possible to help see what he would like to develop and pursue as a possible future career.
We also have Hugo Stephens with us who is currently studying MEng Mechanical Engineering at The University of Nottingham who’s with us for a placement, Hugo is working with the Design and Engineering team to create the first Build Manual for the GBS Zero, you can read more about this story here.
