The Zero Ultimate Self Build is a very popular Zero option that we offer and we recently had a very nice example of a customers Ultimate Zero Self Build with us in the workshop that we prepared and presented to IVA test. While this Zero was with us we thought we would do a short video talking over the car and talking through the options that we offer. The complete component build comes with all parts to a high specification and many options are included as standard giving you a exceptional and capable car out of the box. This helps with planning, building and budgeting, or if you prefer it can be purchased as a whole package. This Zero is now back with the customer and will be registered in March 2022 as a new registration, the customer decided to wait until 2022 to get it registered. The GBS Cars & Coffee event at GBS was created in 2016 and has since been a massive success & we have continued to hold the event again for several years. Its an event that we have created that gives the chance for you all to have a ride out in your sports cars / meeting point and enjoy a coffee (plus biscuits/ cake of course) and chat about your cars, all are welcome to join us in any car (modern or classic including bikes). Everyone is welcome to join us!

Another great thing about our GBS Cars & Coffee events are that we raise more money for two great charities…. We collect for the Notts & Lincs Air Ambulance & Cancer Research, and will be collecting on the day. Refreshments are free and all we ask for is a donation to our chosen charities.

We all had a nice Christmas break, and we are all now feeling refreshed and ready for 2022 to begin!

We are all looking forward to the year ahead, its normally a busy January and start to the year for the GBS Team as we are always busy preparing the GBS Zeros for our first event of the year which is the Autosport International Show. But sadly again this year that is not taking place due to Covid. The GBS 2022 event Calendar is looking a little different to previous years with not many events yet confirmed, but we will be soon listing the events that we are hoping to be at if they are able to go ahead. We are looking forward to our first GBS Cars & Coffee event which we have planned for March, which we will share more details on with you all soon. Busy in the GBS Machine Shop with lots of components in production....

The GBS Machine Shop is always busy with lots of products in production like the ATR Products Fuel Filler Caps, Suspension Components, Brake Components and much more. We have invested heavily in CNC machine tools, with the Hardinge 4 axis CNC milling machine and CNC Lathe and we have recently invested in more machinery and equipment which we will share more with you in the new year.

Our philosophy remains to design and manufacture critical and custom components in-house. This ensures the highest quality, control of costs and lead times. For those parts we do not manufacture and wherever possible we select local sources to streamline the management of our supply chain and our delivery commitments. The Kit Spares Showroom and shop has a full range of ATR Products on display for you to view and we are pleased to now have a dedicated ATR Products page on the Kit Spares website, where the ATR Products can all be viewed and purchased online and also instore.

2021 has been a very busy & successful year & we look forward to an exciting 2022.....

2021 has been another great year for the GBS team and we have been extremely busy. There are so many photo’s and experiences to share but here are just a few of our favourite photos and moments that we have captured during the year, next year is already looking like it’s going to be another very busy & exciting year for us with lots happening. We have lots of exciting things to share with you all in the new year!

This year we have seen a lot stunning Zeros come through the workshop that have been painted. Paint is now becoming one of our most popular options and upgrades.

With the Covid restrictions in place, we only managed to organise one run out in the Zeros. It was a great day and everyone enjoyed it, we look forward to planning more Zero Run Outs next year.

Last month it was great to welcome Paul Barnes our USA representative back to GBS for a few days after over a year of not being able to visit due to Covid travel restrictions.

The Zero Motul Edition has been a fantastic project for us this year. The whole GBS Team has been involved with this and are very proud of it and excited about next years plans!

We have been able to host 3 of our GBS Cars & Coffee events this year, with big plans next year to do more of these events and more often. All are welcome to join in any car! #GBSCarsandcoffee

The Zero Motul Ediiton was on the main Motul Stand at this years Silverstone Classic Show, where it was revealed for the very first time. This was a fantastic time for the team.

Customer soon to enjoy their second Zero on the road.....

We currently have a very nice Zero with us in the workshop that we recently prepared and presented for its IVA test which is owned by GBS customer Jim Burge. This is Jim’s second Zero build that he has enjoyed and Jim has kindly wrote a few words about his journey of building his two Zeros.

My GBS journey ...
So back in 2014 I made the decision to embark on my own personal challenge of building a GBS ZERO...
My years as a Ford technician became invaluable in enabling me to work through the build but with the confidence of the guys at GBS at the end of a phone to help when needed.
Build completed after 2 years and GBS White was registered and on the road in September 2016.

Lots of fun times enjoyed until I decided it was time to sell up and move on...
What a decision I would quickly regret.
So.. in July 2020, I looked into the GBS Generation 2 Ultimate Kit and decided to go again, this time with a few upgrades as this one was going to be for keeps. The kit was delivered in time for Christmas 2020.
Despite a national pandemic work progressed, this time it felt that the knowledge and experience of the first build made it even more enjoyable and rewarding.
October 2021 GBS Blue was completed and ready for the IVA test which she passed first time.
Now I have the long wait through my choice for Spring 2022 when MY22 GBS is finally registered and ready for the maiden journey..
A huge thank you to Richard, Ruth and all the team at GBS for their help and advice and always being in at the end of the phone for my endless questions..

Great to be back at the Classic Motor Show with the Zeros…

Big thank you to everyone who visited our stand over the 3 days at this years Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham.  This show is one of our favourite shows of the year and we are so pleased to be able to be at shows again after a year of having none due to Covid. Both the GBS & Kit Spares stand were busy all 3 days particularly the Friday. It was great to see so many customers over the weekend as well as meet many new customers that we look forward to welcoming to the GBS factory very soon.

Our stand this year was in the same location as previous years and on display was the brand new Zero Motul Edition which attracted a lot of attention along with a Gen 2 Zero chassis.

The kit Spares stand was also very busy with all the parts that we had on display attracting a lot of attention particularly the Ford 2.5 Duratec engine and the show racks which were displaying electrical and wiring products, the ATR Product Range, Exhaust components, Seat Belts & Interior products and much more….Visit our parts website www.kitspares.co.uk or showroom to see more products and details.

Our USA Representative finally able to visit us at GBS again.....

Last week it was great to welcome Paul Barnes our USA representative back to GBS for a few days after over a year of not being able to visit due to Covid travel restrictions.

Earlier this year we exhibited at the 2021 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach which took place 24-26th September 2021. The Long Beach Grand Prix was the last race of the year on display was 2 Zeros, both Cars on display were Mazda powered cars with a variety of upgrades including ATR Throttle bodies and upgraded front suspension and brakes. Due to travel restrictions we were unable to go to the show and join Paul, but one of the GBS team will be flying out to USA to assist Paul with the start of his NEW USA Generation2 Zero demonstrator build next month.

It’s been a busy few months with Zero Self Build Kit collections and several exports to the USA, with more being collected and packed soon. Whilst Paul was here with us we showed him all the developments that we have been working on including the new GBS Gen 2 Boot Covers and Doors that have now arrived and will be released for sale later this month. More news on them will be shared with you very soon.

GBS Motul Edition Zero is now on the road & can be seen on our stand at our next event....

The GBS Zero Motul Edition is now registered and being enjoyed on the road and at events by Motul and Witham Motorsport. Earlier this month the Zero Motul Edition was collected by Nigel Bottom the Managing Director of Witham Motorsport, pictured above with Richard and Kurtis. As Motul UK Distributors, Witham Motorsport were the driving force behind this special project and we are excited to be continuing working with them and have many more plans for the Motul Zero Edition. We are also excited to confirm that the Motul Zero Edition can be seen on our stand at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC next month.

The whole GBS team have been involved in this very special Zero build and we are all very proud of it and the whole build process and story has been captured which can be be seen on our GBS YouTube Channel.

The next event and last big show of 2021 for the GBS team is the Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham, which is happening on 12th -14th November 2021.

We are all very excited to be at this years event with the brand new GBS Motul Edition Zero which was revealed earlier this year at the Silverstone Classic Show.

The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show brings together a great array of classic car and motorcycle clubs along with their iconic classic and vintage cars and motorbikes, is an event not to be missed.

No matter what you’re looking for this is the ultimate season finale for any classic car/bike owner, collector, enthusiast, club member, or simply anyone with a passion for classic vehicles! 

We can be found in Hall 3 on Stand 541 with the GBS Zero’s along with range of parts and spares from Kit Spares and ATR Products.

Factory tours are back & we welcome the Morgan Owners Club to GBS.....

We are pleased that the GBS Factory Tours that we offer are now back. On Saturday we welcomed the Morgan Owners Club to GBS for a factory tour. The Morgan Owners Club were due to come last year but due to Covid-19 we were unable to safely offer Factory Tours.

It was great to see everyone arrive in their Morgan sports cars and to have them all parked together outside the factory for photographs. The tour was led by Richard and John which covered the workshop, design room, clean assembly room, engineering machine shop, parts and spares store and shop and then back to the showroom where we finish.

Zeros attract a lot of attention in USA and NEW USA Generation2 Zero demonstrator arrives in USA....

With the reopening of the state of California earlier this year in June and after the 2020 event was cancelled, the 2021 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach was back on the calendar and took place 24-26th September 2021.  The Long Beach Grand Prix was the last race of the year and where Alex Palou clinched the championship .

We were pleased to be exhibiting again at this year's Long Beach Grand Prix in the Life Styles Expo - Booth 1115.  On display was 2 Zeros, both Cars on display were Mazda powered cars with a variety of upgrades including ATR Throttle bodies and upgraded front suspension and brakes.  

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand over the 2 days of the event, it was great to meet so many people over the weekend and see existing customers too.  The Newest GBS customer Aaron travelled to the event to help out on the stand and finalize his car's specification.

It’s been a busy few months with Zero Self Build Kit collections and several exports to the USA. Including the NEW USA Generation2 Zero demonstrator that we sent to Paul our USA representative, the Zero Kit was collected last month, and meant to be seen for the first time on its build trolley at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach but unfortunately due to several Covid related shipment delays it finally arrived but was just too late to make the event.

But we are pleased that it has now arrived and is safely with Paul for the build to begin, we will share more photos with this as the build progresses.

The Zero Race Demonstrator moves on....

Our Zero Race Demonstrator is now sold and has a new owner, who we are pleased will continue to use and enjoy it out on the track.... Over the years we have had some great times and have lots of great memories with it, we now look forward to having fun with our new Zero Race Demonstrator soon!

The Zero range is the ideal car to be enjoyed on the road and track. The Zero Race and Track Day Car option is available in narrow and wide bodied (GT) versions and carries forward the superbly engineered road chassis with a fully welded integrated Roll Cage. For the serious competitor additional stiffening braces and side intrusion bars can be added. The chassis will accept various engine, gearbox and differential configurations.
