Another great evening at our second Friday Night at the Factory event of the year at GBS.....

Another great evening at our second Friday Night at the Factory event of the year at GBS.....

On Friday 28th June we ended the week with our GBS Friday Night at the Factory event, it was a fantastic evening and great to have a carpark full of different sports cars and bikes. The gates opened at 5pm and the car park soon filled up, and everyone enjoyed the the lovely freshly baked pizza and drinks that we served throughout the evening. We would like to thank you all for joining us and are now looking forward to the next Friday Night at the Factory that will be happening on 19th July at GBS.

Friday Night at the Factory was a new event that we created last year that will be happening on the once a month from May to August. Its a similar style to our GBS Cars & Coffee events with the opportunity for you all to have a summer evening ride out in your sports cars / bikes and a meeting point to enjoy an evening of cars, bikes, car chat, music, food and drinks with the GBS Team.

Next Event Date: Friday 19th July 2024.
(May to August)
Times: 5pm till late
Location: Great British Sports Cars - NG22 9ZD.

Join us at the next Friday Night at The Factory on Friday 19th July

Everyone is always welcome at GBS, last week the Home Secretary James Cleverly & Mark Spencer came to see us....

It’s always nice to welcome guests to the factory, and last week it was the turn of Home Secretary James Cleverly and our local MP Mark Spencer to pop by, along with large swathes of the UK media to see what it is we do here at GBS.

Mark Spencer has been a supporter of GBS for several years joining us at track days and other events and kept a keen eye on our growth. He asked if we would take the time to show Home Secretary James Cleverly, what we do as we are one of the only few UK family owned car manufactures left and the fact that we uniquely manufacture so much of the car in house.

Both Mark and James were kind enough to take some time to chat to the team, learn more about our vision for GBS as a truly British sports car, and see how we’re making our cars and looking as some of the new environmentally technologies we are working on.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the UK GOV for their support within the manufacturing and automotive sectors and we look forward to the continued support from our government to allow GBS to thrive into the future with which ever party may be in power next.

Fun on the track at Donington Park for our GBS Track Day....

Our new Zero race car enjoyed being out on the track at Donnington park earlier this week for our GBS Track Day. On Wednesday (26th June) was our second GBS Track Day of the year, where we were joined with other Zero owners and customers who enjoyed some passenger laps. The weather was perfect, the Yokohama AO52 tyres were offering crazy grip and we’re lapping and gapping some truly great cars that we also out on circuit. We would like to thank everyone who joined us and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

The Zero is ideal for both the road and track, click here to explore more options about the Zeros. We are hoping to get a few more GBS Track day dates in later this year so hopefully you will be able to join us again. More photographs can be seen on our GBS Facebook and Instagram pages and a video has been shared on our YouTube channel soon.

GBS Cars & Coffee event with Yokohama Tyres..... Thank you for joining us!

Big thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday (15th June) at GBS for our second Cars and Coffee event of the year……. It was a great turn out despite the weather forecast and a little rain towards the end. Thank you also to Yokohama Tyres for sponsoring the event and joining us on the day and to Eric pizza’s for serving the pizzas for everyone to enjoy. (Eric’s Pizzas will be joining us again later this month at our Friday Night at the Factory event on Friday 28th June)

The GBS and Kit Spares show room was very busy with people and the Kit Spares   was also very busy with sales and enquires. As always the cakes attracted a lot of attention and certainly went down well with not many left along with the unlimited supply of tea and coffee.

Another great thing about our GBS Cars & Coffee events that we love, is that we are able to raise money for our 2 chosen charities which are the Cancer Research UK and The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, we all feel and hope you agree that The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a fantastic service and has helped & will continue to help many people, as well as the Cancer Research UK that is again a fantastic charity that makes a big difference to so many people and their families.

The next GBS Cars & Coffee date will be announced very soon. Our next event on the GBS Calander is our GBS Track Day at Donington Park on Wednesday 26th June and Friday Night at the Factory event which is happening on Friday 28th June at GBS. Review from Mr & Mrs Hartley / GBS Factory Tour on 03/02/24:
We were one of the very first to go on the tour.  And what a treat it was too!  This is a bit different to the normal corporate factory tours we’ve done before.  This felt much more authentic and honest.  Not rehearsed nor delivered by a member of staff.  We were taken around by Richard , the director.  So we got to hear first hand how the business started and how the business has grown.  The tour itself was fascinating as you moved around the premises from room to room (which is like a Tardis!) GBS is a really small team, but that’s what makes this whole business so unique and so incredibly special.  When you see the finished masterpieces created here you will be yearning to buy one.  Anyone who wants a Caterham will think again after visiting.  The tour brings the whole production to life and Richard’s passion for what he believes in and ultimately what him and his team creates will leave you feeling you have to buy a car!  Highly recommend this tour for its individuality and Britishness
